Introduction to the  Recorder

Flute g774339ca2 1920
The recorder is one of the most studied instruments across the globe.

Yet, because of the various and inconsistent ways it has been taught over the years, it often arrives with unfavorable expectations.

We believe that with a bit of history about the recorder, and an understanding of why it is beneficial to music education, students and teachers alike will begin their study of the recorder on a positive note.

As students begin the process of learning to play the instrument, there are steps and techniques to help play the recorder and make music both challenging
and fun.

We believe that this course will provide a lifelong appreciation of music.
